Who this covers

This policy covers the BiltiSathi Android application and the web application of the same name, both operated by © KeyCode Technology Pvt. Ltd..

BiltiSathi is a business tool for road-transport operators. It is used by staff of a transport company to record consignments (biltis), loading challans, invoices and payments. It is not a consumer product and is not offered to the general public; an account is created for a member of staff by their own company.

What the app does not do

Stated first, because it is the shortest part and answers most of the question.

It contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and no third-party software-development kits that could perform them.
It does not ask for or use your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, call logs or messages.
It does not sell, rent or share your information with anybody for advertising or any other purpose.
It shows no advertisements.

The Android app requests exactly two permissions, both needed only to reach the server: INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE.

What is collected, and why

Sign-in details	Your login ID and password are sent to your company's BiltiSathi server to sign you in. The password is not stored on the device.
Business records	The consignment, challan, party, invoice, receipt and expense records that you and your colleagues enter. These are your company's own business records; the app is the means of entering and reading them.
Account details	Your name, login ID, company, branch and the permissions your administrator has granted, so the app can show you the screens you are allowed to use.

Business records may include the names, addresses and telephone numbers of consignors and consignees. That information is entered by the transport company as part of its ordinary work, and it belongs to that company. © KeyCode Technology Pvt. Ltd. processes it on the company's behalf and for no other purpose.

What is kept on your phone

After you sign in, the app stores on the device only: an authentication token, your name, login ID, company, branch, whether you are an administrator, the list of modules you may use, and the address of your company's server.

Signing out removes all of it. Uninstalling the app removes it as well. None of it is readable by other apps.

How it travels and where it is held

All communication between the app and the server uses HTTPS. The app is configured to refuse plain, unencrypted connections.
Data is held on the server operated for your company by © KeyCode Technology Pvt. Ltd., and is accessible only to signed-in users of that company. The application separates every company's records.
Access within a company is controlled by your own administrator through roles and permissions.

How long it is kept, and how to have it removed

Business records are kept for as long as your company needs them, which for consignment and accounting records is generally governed by Indian tax and transport record-keeping requirements rather than by us.

You can ask for your account and data to be removed at any time — see delete your account, which sets out exactly what is deleted, what must be retained and for how long. You can also ask your own company's BiltiSathi administrator, or write to us using the details below.

Children

BiltiSathi is a workplace tool. It is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Where a change materially affects what is collected or how it is used, we will say so on this page rather than rely on the date alone.
